ABOUT GREG WILLE           Follow me on Twitter at: @TemBelSports

I have been covering sports in the Temple-Belton area since 1999, when I joined the Temple Daily Telegram sports staff after graduating from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in print journalism. At the Telegram, I worked as a sports writer from 1999-2003 and then as the sports editor from 2003-2013. Working on a part-time basis, I covered area sports as a Telegram correspondent from June 2013 through August 2020. I have covered Temple High School Wildcats football for 15 seasons (2003-05, 2007-09 and 2011-present) and have covered Temple College men's basketball and baseball for 20 years, beginning in 2000-01. I also cover other area high schools in a variety of sports, especially football, basketball, baseball and golf. I was the Telegram's beat writer for University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football from 1999-2003 and for UMHB basketball from 1999-2004. While attending college, I worked as an Austin American-Statesman sports correspondent from 1995-99, covering high schools and colleges. I live in Belton with my wife and two children.
