After 1-1 start, Lake Belton Broncos ready for first home game in school history vs. Cameron Yoe JV

After two road games and an open date, Lake Belton High School's top football team is set to play its first home game in program history when it battles the Cameron Yoe “Maroon” junior varsity at 7 p.m. Thursday at Belton High School's Tiger Field.

Coach Brian Cope's Lake Belton “Bronco” squad dominated a Stephenville JV team 48-0 in the Broncos' program debut Aug. 27 in Stephenville. A week later, Lake Belton – whose roster consists of all sophomores and freshmen – lost a 42-35 shootout at fellow first-year school San Antonio Davenport on Sept. 4.

Also Thursday at Tiger Field, Lake Belton's “Red” team will play a Stephenville JV squad at 4 p.m. and the Broncos' “Silver” group will play the Yoe “Grey” JV team at 5:30.
