FOOTBALL: Hrbacek continues to run wild with 251 yards, six touchdowns as Troy blasts Robinson 48-6

ROBINSON – Troy senior running back Zach Hrbacek continued to shred opposing defenses Friday night, rushing for 251 yards and six touchdowns – five from 26-plus yards – as the Trojans ripped Robinson 48-6 at Rocket Field for their second consecutive win.

After rushing for a combined 577 yards and 10 touchdowns in Troy's season-opening 46-27 loss to Salado and its 55-37 home win over Mexia last week, the Sam Houston State-committed Hrbacek added scoring runs of 26, 51, 2, 36, 44 and 61 yards as coach Ronnie Porter's Trojans (2-1) cruised past Robinson (1-2). The Rockets have been outscored 89-6 in their last two games.

Hrbacek, a first-team all-state selection last season who helped lead 12-2 Troy to the Class 3A Division I Region III final, extended his season rushing totals to 828 yards and 16 touchdowns, plus a 100-yard kickoff return for a TD against Mexia. He's scored an area-leading 110 points.

Xavier Hernandez contributed a 41-yard touchdown run and 81 rushing yards for Troy, which hosts Franklin (0-2) at 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
